  1. Absolutely terrifying. She is photoshopped to the inch of her life. Ive never seen Raquel look ugly…and US Vogue has managed to do it. Congratulations.

      • You cant even blame Anna. She’s trying to stay in business, and America has a long history of OBSESSION with “Celebrity”. If they put Freja on the cover, I doubt it will sell, put Jennifer Anniston and her whining, boom, major sales. It tells you of a sad state US high-fashion is at.

    • Right!?!? Like I said in my previous post, this obsession with mediocrity and celebrity reflects in America’s high fashion concept. Everyone gets offended by everything. Womans breasts, buttocks and sex are a sin. Its really sad actually. Nothing worse than censored art.

  4. What I’m getting from this editorial is a story of decadent minimalism, which looking back on the SPR 2011 collections makes sense to me. US Vogue is unapologetically geared towards middle America (you know where they can a make profit), but by middle America standards this editorial is pushing the envelope so lets give them some credit. And for all you ‘Photohop’ experts the photography is similar to Ellen von Unwerth’s style which for those of you who have tried to at least learn about photography know can be achieved with film speed and aperture/exposure settings etc. so please PLEASE stop assuming because you’re all making an ass of yourselves.

    • How about you stop selling your opinion as a FACT? Nobody here claims to be an expert in photoshop or professional photography, rather simply expressing OPINIONS.

“so please PLEASE stop assuming because you’re all making an ass of yourselves. “…..hmmm, how about you get over yourself?

  5. You should have a look at the magazine morons! They are really bad scans! This is by far the best spread Vogue have done, quite subversive and nothing to do with Ellen von unworth (I mean really?!!) Sims is a genius! everyone else steals from him, way ahead of the curve.

  7. I rather like this. I don’t think models need to be beautiful and I’m quite enjoying her “uglification” because it contrasts and compliments the clothes nicely. I also like the nod to Queen Elizabeth I (even if unintentional). One of the more interesting Vogue spreads in the last few years. The pictures do look like bad scans and the colors are blown out (as a result of which its hard to see her facial features). I imagine that will not be the case in the actual publication.
