Prada’s About Face – Prada designer Miuccia Prada delivered a spring 2014 collection which is an homage to femininity. Artists including Mesa, Gabriel Specter and Jeanne Detallante created murals for the Italian brand which translated to painted faces adorning the season’s many coats, dresses and skirts. Adding to the texture and color of the artwork are colorful sequins accentuating the designs almost as if adding to a canvas. While we have seen some lingerie inspired wear this season, Prada gives a unique take on the brassiere with built-in bra shapes on knitwear dresses. Accessories for the upcoming spring include striped leg warmers, bags with pop art inspired motifs and multi-colored sandals.
