Marking his third collection for the brand, creative director Peter Copping took on color for Oscar de la Renta’s resort 2016 collection. Styles went from day to night ranging from flirty, fit and flare shapes to the more dramatic, including gowns with sequin embroideries. The skirt suit, a favorite of De la Renta, gets updated in siren red with ruffled details on the jacket and hemline. Striking a balance between his own voice and the house’s, Copping created a ladylike outing befitting of the season.
