Too some people want to make fashion be all about doing crazy stuff, such as hiring a Polish whore to walk in your show.

you don’t have to be better looking to tell your opinion of a model. that’s their job, be on spot and be judged, so it’s stupid to protect them, is she your daughter or what?

I’ll give the Terry whinge. I believe I am entitled to because I have come to like some of his work, and some of his overt older stuff has won me over too. Terry’s predilection of inserting himself into his shoots makes me want to puke but that is not the problem here.

The first problem is that Terry is just not a very good photographer. He only knows how to shoot straight on with the model facing him (and us). That is so obvious here. Also the shots are just poor. I know what we see are scans but as someone has said the outside shots are just terrible and they are. I know it is a Terry signature but the brazen overlit colours are just exhausting. Finally, without the sexual innuendo, all meaning falls away in Terry’s shoots till it is revealled that his shoots are just a model in a setting, and unlike the settings of other photographers, Terry’s sets aren’t dressed. What you see is what is there is – overgrown grass, peeling paint, mess on the ground.

Perhaps most importantly, whatever our taste for Magdalena is, Terry has managed to make her look crass and even ugly.

This is one of the worst big name shoots I have seen in ages.

there are no ninjas in china, you ignorant americans. if you choose to shoot a culturally inspired editorial, stick to one culture. don’t assume that all asian cultures are exactly the same, because they are not. and i really hope that ninjas are not the first things that come to mind when thinking of asia.

This editorial is a mishmash of every Asian stereotype rolled into one. It would’ve come full circle if they’d put the Mr. Miyagi/palm reader in a changshan. The cheap panda suit and the flying ninja are the most distracting (not to mention, RIDICULOUS) accessories and completely unnecessary to the story. The clothes are almost secondary to the editorial, which is confusing as is this not a FASHION magazine?

Talentless Terry and his stupid ego need to go away and die.

when i got my magazine…i thought the cover was adorable (the first photo with the girl walking with the panda)

…then i got to the rest of the editorial and wasn’t that excited. two redeeming factors are the cuteness of the first photo and the dkny dress she’s wearing is totally gorgeous

The problem is that these poor overworked girls has absolutely no say in how they are portrayed , the just submit to these designers whims and collect a paycheck. Magdalena is a doll and a very hardworking doll.
