With her first collection for the spring-summer 2016 season, Madewell’s new head designer Joyce Lee drew inspiration from various vacation destinations for a jet-setting yet grounded outing. Honing in on denim, the fabric was used on everything from mid-length skirts to tailored overalls and button-up jackets. Elsewhere, gingham prints as well as stripes were standout patterns for spring. Hints of Morocc are seen with worldly patterns and a desert-dwelling color palette while fedora hats and leather bags top off the stylish ensembles.
