Céline - French Fashion Brand
Céline is a French fashion brand founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana. Owned by LVMH group since 1996, the brand made its sales revenue €172.2 million in 2012 and the numbers still grow through out the years. Its current creative director is Phoebe Philo. Since November 2015, the headquarters are located at 16 rue Vivienne in Paris, France. The name Céline is famous for its ready-to-wear and leather luxury goods.
Céline - History
Céline Vipiana along with her husband Richard created one of the first luxury brands and opened the first boutique in Paris with a memorable logo design of the red elephant. In 1973, Céline redesigned its logo with the intertwined "C" Sulky canvas, linked to the Arc-de-Triomphe. Today, the brand is present online and in many countries across the world from Toronto to Hong Kong.
