Hands say a lot, even without words. That’s the message behind Bottega Veneta’s new campaign, Craft is Our Language. Celebrating 50 years of Intrecciato, the brand’s famous hand-woven leather, the campaign honors the art of making by hand.
Bottega Veneta Craft is Our Language 2025 Campaign

Directed and photographed by Jack Davison with choreography by Lenio Kaklea, the campaign is a tribute to both craftsmanship and communication. It features black-and-white portraits of actors, artists, and creatives, including actress Julianne Moore, Shu Qi, Zadie Smith, and Lauren Hutton.

Alongside their images are striking photos of hands that are raised, folded, connected, each one telling a different story. The mix of stillness and movement reflects Bottega Veneta’s belief that craft is a shared language. The hands, some wrapped in leather, others bare, represent unity, skill, and emotion across generations and cultures.

Every portrait captures a moment. Some laugh, some pause, some gesture. But all celebrate the deep connection between human expression and handmade creation. With this campaign, Bottega Veneta celebrates its Italian heritage. It reaffirms that every gesture, like every weave of leather, has meaning.
