Australian label Spell and the Gypsy Collective have launched its Holiday 2014 lookbook called “Summer of Angels”. The images star model Ashley Smith in 1970s inspired looks as she poses at a motel and diner while sporting easy breezy separates, floral prints, denim and anglaise cotton tops in the outdoors. “It’s for the girl who wears white and gets it dusty as hell, wears her kimono until it’s vintage, who lives in the now (as well as in the 70s), for that road trip’n girl who can’t help but chase that long black ribbon of tarmac…” says one half of the designer duo, Spell Pennefather, who also works with her sister Elizabeth Briedis on the line.
