“I think Paola conveyed that being different is beautiful. Some of the photos even make you question what the story is and what is going on. Like the hijab, sometimes it can be off-putting for people, but then they get to know me and it’s kind of cool,” says Halima.
The September Issues is a digital and print magazine campaigning for uninhibited creativity within global feminism. Since their inception in 2016, they have had a dual mission: to make fashion a feminist issue and to create a platform for artists who are underrepresented in mainstream media.
