Italian high-end furniture brand Poltrona Frau has teamed up with designer Alexander Wang on a limited edition series of lounge furniture pieces. The collection features two reinterpreted bean bag chars as well as a trunk bar. The bean bag seats are in leather while the trunk bar features a matte black shagreen.
Wang says about the collaboration, “I always loved this idea of hanging out in a basement on bean bags. But taking that youthfulness and re-contextualizing it into something very luxurious and aspirational. Poltrona Frau has such a deep history and incredible knowledge of furniture design. Their level of craftsmanship with furniture is truly distinguished, and together we were able to create something that I’m really excited to introduce.”
Look out for the Wang and Poltrona Frau collection in the US this February and worldwide at the end of April 2015.
