Lana on Feminism—Posing for the June-July cover story from Fader Magazine, Lana Del Rey charms in Brooklyn, New York, for these sunny photographs lensed by Geordie Wood. Besides the laid-back pictures, the “West Coast” singer opened up about her songs and when asked about the recent criticism of her being seen as “submissive” by feminists, she had an interesting response.

“For me, the issue of feminism is just not an interesting concept,” the former H&M face says. “I’m more interested in, you know, SpaceX and Tesla, what’s going to happen with our intergalactic possibilities. Whenever people bring up feminism, I’m like, god. I’m just not really that interested.” When pressed, she goes on to say her definition of a feminist. “My idea of a true feminist is a woman who feels free enough to do whatever she wants.”
