The Mauritshuis – For her fall 2013 collection, Dutch lingerie designer Marlies Dekkers was influenced by a recent tour of The Mauritshuis museum. The formerly privately owned house now displays some of the most renowned Dutch painters’ work such as Rembrandt, Carel Fabritius and Johannes Vermeer. The facade of The Mauritshuis was the inspiration for the collection’s embroidered lace and mesh detailing while the museum’s decorative frames shaped the look of the autumn season’s metal chain ornaments.
