Zara Goes Grunge – Tapping into the grunge trend for the fall season, Zara offers a new-age take on the 90s style for its TRF line geared at teens. Sara Blomqvist joins Marta Dyks in a mix of plaid, florals and combat boots, some which were seen in the fall 2013 advertisements. Accessorized with heavy-knits and backpacks, the TRF girl looks ready to hit the streets in style this autumn.
Straight Forward – Sara Blomqvist is the latest star of Akris’ fall 2013 campaign. The Swedish model rocks a short and blonde pixie cut as she fronts the series of black and white, studio snapped advertisements lensed by Karim Sadli. With a collection inspired by the style of aviator Amelia Earhart, the 1930s look gets a sleek and modern update with an outing of sharp lines, focus on outerwear and sporty netting.
Classic Style Reigns – Italian style bible MF Fashion pays tribute to one of the country’s most enduring fashion houses, Valentino, in its latest issue. Head designers Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli pose with a bevy of beauties including Meghan Collison, Mackenzie Drazan, Maud Welzen, Jac Jagaciak, Hanne Gaby Odiele, Kati Nescher, Ondria Hardin, Julia Nobis, Marie Piovesan, Sara Blomqvist and Caroline Brasch Nielsen. Stefano Roncato styled the stunning cast exclusively in Valentino’s fall winter 2013 collection. Pablo Arroyo captured the designers and models in Paris for the chic spread.
Multiplicity – Dutch photographer Viviane Sassen returns to shoot another campaign for French label Carven– this time for the spring 2013 season starring Sara Blomqvist. The Swedish beauty enchants in a series of somewhat trippy images showing “multiple sides” of the Carven woman with ladylike silhouettes and elegant prints on full display. The campaign also stars male model Thomas Sottong.
New Looks for the New Year – Ringing in 2013, Coach offers a look at New Year buys for their latest style book featuring Meghan Collison and Sara Blomqvist. The girls look ultra-chic in cropped jackets, oversized bags, fitted trousers and simple flats–evoking an effortlessly elegant cool.
Foggy Days – Tapped for the spring-summer cover story of Stockholm S/S/A/W, models Meghan Collison and Sara Blomqvist rock super sleek and modern looks of the season. With creative direction by Jakob Hysén Hedberg, stylist Tom van Dorpe selects designs from the likes of Rick Owns, Theyskens’ Theory, Tiger of Sweden and Cheap Monday for the duo to wear in Kai Z Feng’s glossy studio images. Straight tresses by hair stylist Erika Svedjevik and understated makeup by Anya de Tobon complete the layered ensembles.
Winter Update – Fashion retailer H&M enlists Sara Blomqvist for its winter 2012 lookbook, shot by Peter Gehrke. The new season embraces pant suits, jewel tone dresses and embellished separates for an elegant yet fashion forward outing.
September Hits – Sara Blomqvist is the latest model to front Spanish label Mango’s fashions. The Swedish beauty sports fashions from the retailer’s September collection featuring sharp blazers, military inspired outerwear and denim. Accessorized with petite handbags, Sara oozes a cool confidence with every look.
Dries’ Eastern Fall – For fall 2012, Dries Van Noten embraced an Asian inspired outing with lush coats, tailored suiting and patterned jackets influenced by designs in London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. The Van Noten woman takes her trip to the East with streamlined silhouettes and dragon or floral prints matched with fur adorned parkas. The Belgian designer’s distinct menswear influence loosened at times, providing delicate dresses and skirts in kaleidoscopic hues of citrus orange, turquoise, jade and ivory. Despite using a well-established theme, Van Noten brought something fresh and distinctly modern to the upcoming autumn.
Gianfranco Ferré’s Streamlined Fall – Designers Stefano Citron and Federico Piaggi presented their second collection for Gianfranco Ferré with the label’s fall 2012 showing presented on the final day of Milan Fashion Week. The two embraced an androgynous aesthetic and used a color palette of inky black, silvery grey, navy and off white. Forgoing patterns or jewelry, the new season was all about shape with streamlined silhouettes that were modern if not futuristic. Ferré’s androgynous heroine also got a touch of glam with the use of lush fur and metallic fabrics for the upcoming autumn.
