Inspiration: (Dress) Chloe by Karl Lagerfeld S/S 1983
Sixty Years of Chic – French fashion house Chloé celebrates sixty years with a limited edition collection of sixteen re-editions of some of its greatest hits. Creations by designers Gaby Aghion (the label’s founder), Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Phoebe Philo, and Hannah MacGibbon inspire Chloé Edition Anniversaire. The collection is available at select Barneys New York locations and will hit Chloé boutiques worldwide starting on March 21st. Woven Accessories – For spring-summer 2013, Marni launches woven handbags and clutches made with hand woven patent leather ribbons and raffia ribbons. The result is a three-dimensional pattern in contrasting colors or monotones ranging from blue to orange to white. The bag is accented with shiny metal detailing.
Classique Summer – Jean Paul Gaultier releases its limited edition “Classique” fragrance for the summer 2013 season. The bottle design is inspired by the skin of a Japanese Koi fish, drawn on as a tattoo-like illustration. The scent has fresh notes of orange blossom, Sicilian lemon and clementine as well as jasmine, ylang-ylang, vanilla, musk and amber.
Vans x Kenzo – Kenzo creative directors Humberto Leon and Carol Lim traveled to Thailand to explore its jungles to find inspiration for the spring-summer 2013 collaboration with shoe label, Vans. The bold prints feature leopard spots in neon shades of green, orange, ocre, blue and yellow. The Vans x Kenzo capsule collection hits stores on March 15th.
Summer Sandals – Sergio Rossi introduces a new sandal style, the “Murmansk”, for the spring-summer 2013 season. The elegant shoe is made for a more dressier look, embellished with crystals for a nighttime sparkle. The Rossi woman can also look forward to Memphis art movement inspired sandals this season–made with fringe, stripes and art-deco patterns.
Isabeli’s New Gig – Leading model Isabeli Fontana has been tapped as the new ambassador of L’Oréal Paris in Brazil and Latin America. We’re used to seeing Isabeli play bombshell in lingerie campaigns or in glossies, but for her now role, the Brazilian stunner will star in a new campaign for hair products that will launch sometime in April. Spring Styles – For the spring-summer season, Marc Jacobs handbags get updated with new colors and styles. ‘The 1984′ bag comes in mandarin and moss hues with pale god detailing, while the ‘Antonia’ bag is produced in a small size with striped and leopard prints.
#Untamed – Mercedes-Benz celebrates their new CLA series with a digital photo exhibition set to be revealed in Paris next month. #Untamed is a series of unique Instagram photos captured from all around the world. Creative agency Jung von Matt / Alster dreamed up the concept, with the campaign’s tagline being, “The natural enemy of the average” or “Nature’s answer to commodity.” The collection of images are created by an international gathering of art aficionados with details showing a glimpse of each participant’s real life. Each photograph earns an #Untamed score, revealing how different each individual’s style is from other participants. The final installation will showcase rotating photographs. Now, everyone is invited to create and share their own photos by using Instagram on the site untamed-installation.com.

Swinton x Chanel – Set to launch in May, the Métiers d’Art Paris-Edimbourg collection from Chanel finds its campaign star in Scottish actress Tilda Swinton. “Tilda perfectly embodies the Paris-Edimbourg collection. She is of course Scottish, but more than that she is a modern woman, a timeless icon of elegance,” says the brand’s Creative Director Karl Lagerfeld.
Elegant Form – For the fall-winter 2013 collection, Sergio Rossi Creative Director Francesco Russo was influenced by architectural design and form. With shoes serving as a micro building, the basic structure of footwear becomes a platform for steel frameworks and geometrical patterns.
