Nocturnal – Australian label Lover heads to the dark side for its fall-winter 2013 collection titled, “Nocturnal”. Modeled by Montana Cox, Tony Scott’s neo-gothic masterpiece “The Hunger” serves as the main inspiration of the season. Drawing from the macabre influence, the Lover woman wears a moody color palette of fuchsia, marine blue and blood red for the new season. Laser-cut lace juxtaposed against leather strikes a balance between feminine and tailored style. Cable knits bring a softness and warmth to the autumn’s sleek and sexy silhouettes.
AD/BC – Australian label Ksubi gets inspired by religious iconography for its autumn-winter 2013 collection. The lookbook images, which star Montana Cox and male model Vinnie Woolston, were photographed by Darren McDonald in a French chateau. The pair wears flame prints, stamped velvet and rich embroidery with leather, gold and stud detailing evoking a Baroque style. Autumn gets casual with light denim washes and simple tees.
Brave New Look – The August issue of Vogue Australia taps Nicole Bentley (Work Agency) to capture the fall collections with a twenty-plus page story starring models Caitlin Lomax, Montana Cox, Lydia Willemina Collins, Victoria Anderson, Gabby Westbrook-Patrick and Alicia Kuczman. Wearing bold pieces selected by fashion editor Ilona Hamer, the girls take on different styles from the likes of Chanel, Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Yves Saint Laurent. Makeup by Justine Purdue and Sarah Tammer with hair by Barney Martin, Michelle McQuillan and Sophie Roberts completes the thoroughly modern ensembles.
