Missoni Pre-Fall 2014 – Inspired by the image of birds, Angela Missoni delivers an elegant, ladylike outing for Missoni’s pre-fall 2014 collection. A color palette of graphic black and white is highlighted in luxe knits, lace and chiffon. Prints of feathers and abstract fowls provide a whimsical touch to the forties influenced silhouettes. The Missoni woman also wears fur and leather embellishments on gloves, collars and stoles.
Missoni Travels for Spring – Missoni’s signature prints were out in full force for the label’s spring 2014 show presented during Milan Fashion Week. Creative director Angela Missoni drew inspiration from global travel with an opening section of birds and ocean waves which transformed into tribal stripes and Eastern color-blocking. Bold colors like orange, mauve, blue or coral are contrasted by black and white for a graphic effect. The Missoni woman wears sarongs, knit sweaters and off the shoulder dresses for the upcoming spring. Her accessories include chunky jewelry with the aforementioned prints, sandals and colorful bags that are ahead of the curb no matter the destination.
Future Past – While Missoni’s previous advertisements focused on nostalgia, the Italian label’s continuation of its sixtieth anniversary celebration looks towards the future with the fall 2013 campaign shot on the deserted coasts of Cornwall. British model Stella Tennant poses against a cubic structure that looks straight out of a science fiction movie. Alasdair McLellan captures Stella in the autumn collection’s graphic prints and subdued color palette.
Past and Present – Missoni celebrates its sixtieth anniversary this year, and to commemorate the occasion it offers limited edition reproductions from its archives also featured in the Italian label’s spring 2013 campaign. Missoni’s Slinky Fall – After last season’s explosion of colors, the fall 2012 collection from Missoni muted the color palette and focused on form-fitting shapes for the new season. Designer Angela Missoni created cozy yet seductive knitwear in dreamy tones of sage green, camel, ash grey and burgundy. Accessories included thin belts above the waist, fur hats, latex gloves and boots with chunky heels. Of course, Missoni’s signature prints were also put on full display with a mix and match of luxe winter layers.
Missoni’s Vibrant Spring – Missoni embraced a vibrant color palette for the spring 2012 season with a mix of knits and fringe in delicious hues of cerulean, magenta and coffee. Designer Angela Missoni appeared to be inspired by flamenco dancers for the new season with big dramatic ruffles, traditional Missoni prints and light summer layers complete with hanging tassels.
With soft pastels and languid silhouettes, Missoni’s fall 2011 showing was an ethereal paradise featuring the label’s signature knits with floor-length skirts and dramatic coats. Accenting the dreamy garments, designer Angela Missoni also added touches of leather with sweeping dusters and python printed boots.
Moving away from a nomadic fall, the spring 2011 outing from Missoni brings the market place to the runway with the label’s signature knit and pattern work paired with loose fitting silhouettes. Adding to the casual atmosphere were sandals adorned with Missoni patterns and bags placed in plastic coverings with the label’s logo. Bright and bold colors also made an appearance–marking the this season’s woman as one with a flair for the daring.
