Too Cool – Bette Franke is back for the winter 2013 catalogue from Spanish fashion brand Mango. The Dutch babe poses in stylish basics like dark denim, button-up shirts and heavy knits in the studio images. Whether she is wearing kitten heels or mens inspired brogues, Bette exudes a carefree cool in the new style book.
Paint it Black – Los Angeles-based clothing company Wasteland gives us an exclusive first look its October lookbook titled, “Paint it Black”. A lot of fashion brands have been going the editorial route with their style books lately, and Wasteland tapped model Lauren Hastings to appear in a series of enchanting images photographed by Harper Smith. “The October Wasteland lookbook was inspired by black magic, shipwrecked maidens, and a darker side of the bohemian,” Wasteland creative director Coryn Madley says about the images.
After Dark – Posing in New York City, Ashley Smith wears a wardrobe for autumn nights out in the October lookbook from Free People. The American model poses for Guy Aroch wearing bohemian inspired outfits in a dark, color palette with timeless black. Statement pieces like faux fur, velvet and sparkling embellishments really make Ashley stand out in the new shoot.
A New Fall – For his namesake label’s fall-winter 2013 collection, Vietnamese designer Phuong My cites Asian woman as inspiration for his latest outing. The new collection focuses on the feminine form with structural silhouettes placing an emphasis on the waist and hips. Silk makes an appearance in the season’s designs with a mix of wool silk, silk lace, opaque organza and silk net. Cora in Hong Kong – REVOLVE Clothing enlists Cora Keegan for its first street style inspired lookbook taken on the streets of Hong Kong. The blonde model poses for Chris Shintani in stylish looks ranging from velvet to leather and lace from labels like Dolce Vita, Elizabeth and James, and 10 Crosby Derek Lam. The rain of Hong Kong provides an interesting backdrop for Cora as she impresses in rich colors and textures.
Model Muse – Online fashion retailer Yoox has collaborated with model Amber Valletta for a new project named Master & Muse. The collaboration taps some of fashion’s leading names for a line of clothes that are made fashionably but most importantly, responsibly. Craig McDean photographs the American beauty in the lookbook images featuring stylish basics like oversized totes, streamlined coats and dresses made with notable brands like Vivienne Westwood, Guava and Mat & Nat.
M Missoni’s Urban Safari – The M Missoni woman goes on a colorful safari journey for the label’s spring-summer 2014 collection. A color palette of vibrant greens, sky and cobalt blues, turquoise orange and fuchsia set the tone for a cool outing of relaxed silhouettes. Trousers are slouchy while dresses fall above the knee with ruffle embellishments. Prints evoke the hues and sights of a jungle with rich floral and fauna tones. The M Missoni woman accessorizes her look with decorated clutches and platform sandals for the upcoming spring.
Cosmic Tees – Feline Blush designer Esin Ünlü’s new collection for pre-fall 2013 offers a selection of t-shirts with graphic print styles. The designs are made from knitted bio-fibers of beech tree cellulose to deliver soft draping and natural breathability. Illustrations are free-spirited, in fun styles named Exotica, Silence of the Bambi, Once upon a Time, Blush and more.
