Black and White Beauties – The enduring relationship of British designer Margaret Howell and photographer Koto Bolofo continues this month. The pair teamed up for the fifth time to create an advertising campaign for Margaret Howell’s fall-winter 2013 collection. Select models Eliza Cummings and Ben Allen star in the ads which focus on Margaret Howell’s traditional fabrics and classic designs. Howell also took charge of styling the shoot, which was fittingly photographed at a speciality tailoring factory near Ancona, Italy.
An Extended Stay – Dree Hemingway has her own private getaway for Louis Vuitton’s pre-fall 2013 catalogue, lensed by Koto Bolofo. The American model gets decked out in the season’s capes, embroidered dresses and the brand’s many accessories in the shoot photographed on location at Paris’ Hôtel de Crillon. The whimsical shoot highlights the diversity of the pre-fall collection which ranges from casual elegance with simple knits to luxe refinement with full furs.
Traditional Touches – Lensed in Ireland by photographer Koto Bolofo, newcomer models Harriet Taylor and Elias Cafmeyer pose in this black-and-white narrative campaign highlighting the Margaret Howell Spring 2013 collection. Styled by designer Margaret Howell herself, these two natural beauties give light to the collection’s classic style.
An Exceptional Christmas – Dior presents a fantastical shoot for its latest catalogue starring Nimue Smit. The Dutch beauty poses for Koto Bolofo’s lens in dreamy images featuring the designs of Raf Simons with lots of flowers, oversized props and butterflies. The accompanying film titled, “An Exceptional Christmas” (and featured after the cut) shows the ultra-feminine looks in motion.
Factory Girl – Margaret Howell teams up with South African photographer Koto Bofolo for the label’s spring 2012 campaign starring Marique Schimmel. Dressed in a menswear shirt, Marique is caught in intimate moments with the black and white images styled by Jo Levin. The advertisements were photographed at the company’s North London shirt factory, showcasing the craftsmanship that goes into Howell’s designs.
