A story of lace, leather and knits, Macdonald imagined his female protagonist as a rebellious teenage girl with penchant for darkness. Indeed, the runway was filled with its fair share of black and moody makeup, but there was also romantic undertone even to the darkest of looks with their ornate patterns and billowing, almost ethereal silhouettes.
Delving into the new season with lingerie style dresses, Julien MacDonald brings a sense of romance to London Fashion Week. As always, the Julien MacDonald woman was one of glamour with models donning voluminous hair and smoky eyes for spring. Subtle prints and jackets paired with sheer ensembles brought a slight edge to a ultra-feminine collection.
