As usual, Armani goes for a sleek and elegant look with its new autumn advertisements set to hit magazines in July.
One Night Only – On May 31st, designer Giorgio Armani traveled to Beijing, China for the first time in six years and presented an edited version of his fall 2012 Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani lines as well as the Armani Privé spring 2012 collection. Armani says, “I’ve always had a very special relationship with China, a country with a rich cultural background and a sophisticated aesthetic which has often inspired me in my search for atmosphere and mood. It is a place to which I have paid homage in many of my collections.” The Italian fashion house celebrates over a decade in China, with the first Armani Chinese store dating back to 1998.
The Armani Way – Designer Giorgio Armani is profiled in the latest issue of WSJ Magazine as the publication takes an intimate look at his life with a piece one year in the making. One of the biggest names in fashion, Armani has built a multi-billion dollar corporation consisting of fashion labels, beauty brands, home interiors and even hotels. He may not be a critical darling as the article states, but he is certainly one of the most successful designers today.
