Paris-Bombay – For Chanel’s pre-fall 2012 collection, designer Karl Lagerfeld fused Indian and European fashion with draping silhouettes and lush silk materials. Crystal embroidery and lustrous fabrics brought an elegant opulence to the new season with an understated color palette of metallic hues, ivory, black and spots of powdery pink. Accessories included sparkling jewelry used as hair ornaments, sandals and satchel bags.

Her Name is Chanel – Nikolay Biryukov captures autumn glamour with pieces from the Chanel archives worn by the stunning Anastasia Shershen for FGR’s latest exclusive. Going from sultry brunette to angelic blonde, Anastasia explores the daytime shadows with elegant gowns and intricate tops. Makeup artist Ernest Muntaniol’s smokey eyes and nude lips bring the outdoor images to pure perfection.
Chanel’s Seascape Spring – With a runway modeled after the sights of the sea, Karl Lagerfeld presented a feminine and light showing for Chanel’s spring 2012 collection. Soft layers of silk and chiffon were covered by the classic Chanel tweed jacket. Models took to the catwalk in ivory, silver, salmon and seafoam for the new season with crystal embellishments and abstract prints. Beauty for the show included slicked back hair, pink lips and cheeks–and keeping with the underwater theme–pearl hair ornaments.
Dark Chanel – After Chanel’s showing of a darker, more rock and roll fall collection, Dazed & Confused’s August issue enlists photographer Hugh Lippe for an outdoor story full of gloom and intrigue. Outfitted by Tracey Nicholson, a posessed Mirte Maas takes to the woods in the fashion house’s moody color palette.
Princess Vanessa – Actress Vanessa Paradis teams up with Karl Lagerfeld for the July issue of Tatler Russia. The French beauty wanders around Versailles Palace in the delicate and elegant designs of Chanel, bringing an echo of Marie Antoinette style back to the court.
Couture at Night – The fall 2011 collection from Chanel featured an homage to the fashion house’s classic staples such as the tweed jacket and impressive tailoring. In true autumn spirit, the color palette stuck mostly to muted gray, black and white paired with knee length boots to top off the Parisian look. Ending the show with crystal adorned skirts and gowns, the showing was darkly romantic with sleek silhouettes and a starry nighttime setting.
Chanel Snapshots – Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld takes to a photo booth for the fashion house’s fall 2011 campaign starring Freja Beha Erichsen. Styled by former Vogue Paris editor-in-chief, Carine Roitfeld, Freja dresses as a cat and dons an interesting choice of makeup in these off-kilter images. (TFS)

In an undone updo, Guinevere looks like a queen in these lush ensembles featuring tweed and velvet with Byzantine inspired details, including embroidered jewels and hair accessories.
