Carolina Herrera Fall 2014–Ladylike elegance is the DNA of house Carolina Herrera and the designer had it in spades for her fall-winter 2014 collection shown earlier today during New York Fashion Week. Fur has been a trend this season and Herrera incorporated the textile as stoles, sweaters and blocky accents on jackets. Color is not missed with a mix of scarlet red, sapphire blue and burnt mustard. For the daytime, the Herrera woman wears kinetic prints on mid-length dresses while evening wear delivers glamour such as the finale look–a show stopping red dress adorned with metallic accents and worn by Karlie Kloss (a popular fixture this Fashion Week).
A Girl’s Best Friend – Women love their dogs and no one knows better than designer Carolina Herrera, who found inspiration for her new CH Carolina Herrera handbag collection from her toy poodle, Gaspar. The accessories line is available in leather, suede and fur styles as totes and clutches. The bottom of each bag even features renderings of Gaspar’s paw prints. Check out the style book images featuring cute dogs and killer bags below.
Dianna in Carolina Herrera – Actress Dianna Argon stepped out to the Berlin premiere of the film, “The Family”, held earlier today. The blonde beauty wore a black and ivory floral crepe de chine gown from Carolina Herrera’s resort 2014 collection to the event.
Herrera’s Light Spring – Carolina Herrera cited her inspiration for the spring 2014 season as being the Kinetic Art Movement and Venezuelan artists like Carlos Cruz-Diez and Jesus Rafael Soto. The influence can be seen in the runway show’s optical prints made with lines, curves and spherical shapes. The silhouette is very feminine with dreamy fabrics of organza and chiffon. Gowns are embellished with jewel appliqués yet still have a light and airy look. For a more daytime look, the Carolina Herrera woman opts for knee-length dresses in shift and strapless shapes.
City Slicker – Photographer Antia Pagant is inspired by the energy of the city for her latest work featuring Patrijia. The dark haired beauty struts the city streets wearing ultra-sleek looks from labels such as Michael Kors, Gucci, Agent Provocateur and La Perla styled by Carolina Herrera. For beauty, Patrijia rocks a braided ‘do and turquoise eyeshadow courtesy of hair and makeup artist Veronica Garcia. Multi-colored nail art puts the focus on the model’s fabulous jewelry.
The Layered Lady – For fall 2012, Carolina Herrera embraced a story of layering complete with a cool palette of navy, robin egg blue, ash, eggplant and black. The new season introduced lengthened silhouettes, cozy cowls and abstract prints. Touches of fur, tweed and sequins brought a certain amount of lavishness to the sensible silhouettes. For the finale look, Herrera delivered drama in the form of a coral ball gown worn by model Aymeline Valade.
Sweet Herrera – Carolina Herrera showed off a lighter side for her spring 2012 collection shown during New York Fashion Week today. A jovial color palette of canary yellow, sage green and rosy red took to the runway in airy gowns, day dresses and lightweight jackets. Prints ranged from songbirds to geometric designs while accessories included bangles, scarves and miniature handbags.
Carolina Herrera’s fall 2011 runway show was certainly not short of timeless sophistication which the label has become renowned for. Playing with classic silhouettes, Herrera gave those in attendance a truly autumn outing with heavy jackets, fur trims and wool separates. Offsetting the voluminous outerwear, feminine shapes took to the catwalk in vibrant hues of citrus orange and sky blue.
