Bassike Resort 2014 – Australia-based label Bassike has released its resort 2014 lookbook, featuring a collection of deconstructed silhouettes in neutral tones. The shapes of the season are long and lean with tubular skirts, high and funneled necklines as well as fluted sleeves. Materials feature luxurious staples such as cashmere knits, the softest of wool and Italian cotton. The resort line from Bassike hits stores from April to June of next year.
Bassike Fall – Australian label Bassike focuses on fabric development for its fall-winter 2014 collection. The fabrics were milled in Italy featuring materials like felt-wool, bonded leather, heavy cashmeres and merino wools. Silhouettes this season are relaxed and slouchy in a subdued color palette of rose quartz, deep navy, black and charcoal. The fall line fuses feminine and boyish styles with boxy shoulders, high collars and slouchy pants.
Modern Minimal – For its spring-summer 2013 campaign, Australian label Bassike reflects its minimal designs with black and white images starring Svieta (Chic) and Jacob Hankin. The handsome pair poses for Beau Grealy in sportswear inspired looks featuring luxe leathers, silk jacquards and double knits. Styled by Jillian Davison, Svieta and Jacob enchant in the monochromatic styles with athletic details. The spring collection from Bassike is in stores now.
Bassike Resort – For it’s resort 2013-14 collection, Australian label Bassike found inspiration in the popular 1960s, Riviera style. The brand brought a modern approach to the theme with a play on proportion and bold pops of nautical stripes and polka dots in white, black, navy and red hues. Sporty shapes including sack dresses and drawstring trousers are anything but casual with materials such as textured leather, laminated fleece and mesh knits. The silhouette is given some edge with frayed hemlines that are seen throughout the whole collection of boxy shirt dresses, cool tanks and cutaway shorts.
Bassike Spring – For its spring 2013 collection, Australian label Bassike takes it back to basics with an outing of mostly monochromatic looks. The new season has an almost sporty vibe with oversized shirts bringing to mind sweatshirts. Trousers include drawstring pants and pleated shorts. The relaxed and baggy silhouette transitions into straight-lined skirts that fall at the knee, paired with button-up shirts.
A Clean Palette – Australian label Bassike embraces its signature aesthetic of minimal luxury for the resort 2013 season. The new collection offers simple silhouettes, a clean color palette of neutrals and python prints, and modest hemlines. Jumpsuits, boyish cuts and utilitarian shapes dominate the transitional season for an easy breezy outing of silk, leather and Italian cottons.
Natural Resort – Flo Gennaro stars in the resort campaign of Australian label Bassike. Lensed by Beau Grealy, Flo joins male model Jack Vanderhart in minimal silhouettes with a colorful palette of citrus orange, sapphire and emerald hues. Styled by Caterina Scardino, Flo is simply beautiful with slicked back hair and barely there makeup.
Bassike Appeal – Bassike designers Deb Sams and Mary Lou Ryan take on minimal silhouettes with effortless chicness for the label’s spring-summer collection. Launched out of Australia in 2006, the label appeals to the young and mature fashionista with its beach looseness and Japanese elegance. From ankle length pants to button-up shirts, the Bassike woman is always in style from head to to toe.
