Carmen’s Cruise Holiday – Estonian model Carmen Kass lands the cruise 2014 campaign from Akris. The blonde beauty poses in the label’s minimal and clean creations designed by Albert Kriemler. Inspiration for the season comes from the work of Mexican architect Luis Barragán’s The Cuadra San Cristobal–an abstract masterpiece known for its fuchsia and blue tones. Karim Sadli captured Carmen for the new advertisements.
Straight Forward – Sara Blomqvist is the latest star of Akris’ fall 2013 campaign. The Swedish model rocks a short and blonde pixie cut as she fronts the series of black and white, studio snapped advertisements lensed by Karim Sadli. With a collection inspired by the style of aviator Amelia Earhart, the 1930s look gets a sleek and modern update with an outing of sharp lines, focus on outerwear and sporty netting.
By the Sea – Akris looks ahead to the resort 2013 season with its latest campaign starring Dutch beauty Patricia van der Vliet. Karim Sadli captures the label’s minimal and sporty designs against a painted backdrop of ocean activity. Windswept hair and elegant posing bring out the collection’s understated glamour.
Akris’ Expressionist Fall – Akris creative director Albert Kriemler was inspired by American Expressionist painter Franz Kline’s artwork for the label’s fall 2012 showing. Autumn embraced a muted palette of black, tan, chocolate and orange hues with relaxed shapes. Wide legged trousers and floor-length dresses dominated the runway, accented by brushstroke style prints. Kriemeler gave the minimal designs a touch of glam with sequin and leather detailing. No doubt, the Akris woman is ready for an autumn of relaxed sophistication in these inspired designs.
Pure Simplicity – Denisa Dvorakova is casual refinement at its best in the colorful spring collection of Arkis, photographed by Yasunari Kikuma for the April edition of Vogue Japan. Akris’ Sporty Spring – Akris’ sharp suiting took a turn for sportswear apparel with the label’s spring 2012 collection presented earlier today. Models hit the runway in lightweight knits, sack dresses, automobile prints and asymmetrical cuts for the new season. The sporty frocks were given a feminine touch with lace detailing, sheer materials and a vibrant color palette which impressed from first look to last.
