Supermodels Go Supernatural for Harper’s Bazaar US September

Continuing with the theme of aging, Harper’s Bazaar US shows us some of our favorite supermodels in a different light–a light which doesn’t include makeup or retouching. The group of women, who are all well into their 30s and 40s now, brave a shoot without the usual frills associated with fashion layouts.

Nevertheless, the octet of Shalom Harlow, Kristen McMenamy, Claudia Schiffer, Tatjana Patitz, Cindy Crawford, Amber Valletta, Helena Christensen, and Nadja Auermann all glow under the lens of Peter Lindbergh. Each black and white portrait retains a beauty that can not be duplicated by any amount of retouching or makeup.

  1. wow, they’re all beautiful even with untouched faces! and Claudia’s comment about dairy…I always thought milk was good for your skin. I stopped drinking milk when I went to college and my skin got very dry, but then there are tons of confounding factors…

  4. Cindy Crawford is heavily made up…the images have a rough black and white feel and some girls have obvious wrinkles but others still look done up to me.
Nadia, Tatiana, and Kristen are the most bare and the loveliest.
