David K. Shields took to the grassy fields of New Zealand for his latest work with fellow kiwi Stella Maxwell. Taking cut-outs into a natural setting, Shields along with stylist Chris Lorimer creates a story of fantastical elements juxtaposed with unadulterated fashion. Wearing clothing from the likes of Karen Walker, Alexander Wang and See by Chloe, Stella enchants in the unique Cut & Paste. / Set design by Dion Boothby

  1. I really love the concept, it’s pretty unique and unexpected. But I feel like it takes away from the clothes; it’s more of an art spread than a fashion spread. And the photo that’s fifth from the bottom has another person’s hand still in it and looks very candid. I doubt that that’s completely intentional, but it doesn’t fit. Overall, the photos are great eye candy, but I wish they highlighted the clothing more.
