If you are heading out on a vacation to some distant and possibly exotic foreign location, chances are you have a lot on your mind concerning the trip. It’s likely you’re worrying about making sure you have all the details under control, that you have enough spending money, and that everything is taken care off back home while you’re gone. But let’s be honest: There are probably many of you who are also pretty concerned about what you’re going to be wearing while you’re there. If you are a fashion-savvy person, you probably are going to want to make an impression on everyone who sees you just as you do at home.
The question, however, is whether or not making that much of an effort for fashion on vacation is ultimately worth it. There are certainly arguments to be made on both accounts. Again, you’ll have a lot of different things on your plate. You might be the type who worries about, for example, the best activities in Dubai in which you can partake, instead of what you might be wearing while you’re enjoying them. But you can also make a case for dressing to the nines while you’re checking out all of the finest tourist attractions. Here are some pros and cons of making an effort to be a fashion maven even while you’re away from home.
1. The Pros
Vacations to distant locations are not something that most people can afford to do all the time. As a result, you might only get one chance to wow the foreign country or countries of your choice with your brilliant fashion sense. You might also be doing things on the trip that require a certain dress code, which means that you’ll want to make sure you have everything you need for that. And you might even do some shopping and find an outfit that you’ll want to show off before you leave.
2. The Cons
The last thing you want to do while on you’re on vacation is spending every last waking moment worrying about what you’re going to wear. If that’s the case, you might find that the whole trip passes you by before you really get a chance to enjoy it. In addition, you might be doing a lot of walking to see sights, in which case you’ll likely want to be dressed for comfort more than anything else.
3. The Decision
Well, it the decision you make will likely jibe with your personal preference. If you’re the type who can make on-the-spot, sound fashion choices without much effort, there’s no reason you shouldn’t look the best you can to impress all those around you. And if you’re the type who normally can’t be bothered, there’s no reason to worry yourself about your vacation togs unless a situation requires you to be dressed a certain way.
There’s no right or wrong answer to this conundrum. No matter what you decide, though, make sure, first and foremost, that you have a great time on your trip.
