For Saint Laurent’s spring-summer 2016 collection, designer Hedi Slimane gave a new meaning to the term “naked dress” with an outing of barely there minis in sheer fabrics and sequin embellished. Paired with fluffy furs, denim jackets or leather vests, the looks were less bombshell and more party girl chic as shown by the addition of sparkling tiaras for headgear.
When Slimane did veer away from the mini it was a slinky maxi or shorts that rounded out the Saint Laurent girl’s wardrobe. Finishing the look, rain boots or strappy heels were the footwear of choice while pops of metallics were also favored on the runway.
