In a season of womanly sophistication, it is quite refreshing to see fashion aimed at a more youthful crowd. The latest photographer taking on whimsical fashion just so happens to be Canadian photographer, Tina Chang. Capturing Masha of Bareface for The National Magazine’s latest issue, Chang creates a story of dreamy pastels and standout accessories with the aide of stylist Katie Trotter.

  1. Now this is what I call an editorial! Tina, you've made me an instant fan! All the elements are there: Excessive Photoshopping of the skin, which I adore, where the model's face has attained extra layers of what appears to be "flesh," as in the very first photo. I'm so sick of seeing emaciated faces. If fashion won't give us healthy looking models, then I'm happy photographers are taking matters into their own hands and adding Gaussian layers to "chubby" a face. Ingenious. Model posing in front of a seamless, which I love because the attention is all on the clothes, and where I get to see detail in the fabric. Like I said to an editor recently, an editorial should look like a scene in a store window, where the models are posing and where they look void of emotion. This way I can better decide if I want to buy an outfit, and I'm not distracted by what otherwise would be seen as real people living life, doing things and looking emotional about it. Kudos! Love, Love, Love.
