Louis Vuitton’s Traveling Woman – Louis Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs celebrated the label’s heritage with an accessories driven fall 2012 presentation shown in a turn of the century train station set. Each model walked down the runway with an uniformed porter by her side, carrying her luggage and bags. The twentieth century style did not just stop with the elaborate set. Garments played on a lean, classic silhouette modernized by proportion and length such as a cropped jacket or leggings layered underneath a dress. Oversize hats and decorative patterns also dominated the runway as did platform heels. The timeless elegance got a bejeweled flair with gem adorned fabrics and clasps. After a look back at the past, the show ended with a trio of metallic silver looks as if a nod to the future ahead.

First time i dislike LV!! Sorry!
ughh, I wish Jamiroquai wasn’t Marc Jacobs muse this season, plus!, way to make gorgeous models look like crazy bag ladies!
What the fuck is with all these unflattering pear-shaped coats? I dont get it. He could’ve tried and made it not look like his collection. It’s almost the same thing just in softer colors and the ‘LV’ logo on everything. Didnt even think the bags were anything special…

Unfortunately, it is fugly.
Looks like the collection was inspired by the 1920’s, the hat and jacket silhouettes can be seen on the HBO show boardwalk empire.
Not sure about the clothes, but I will gladly take the bags, they are lovely to behold.
