Wild is the WindLiu Wen takes on the role of cowgirl for the May issue of Vogue China where she works with photographer Mark Segal. With makeup by Frank Reps Yumi Mori, Liu is the very picture of old west ruggedness combined with elegance as she sports a wardrobe of denim, fringe and leather from the likes of Ralph Lauren, Miu Miu and Rodarte styled by Tabitha Simmons.

  1. Despite my hatred of Wild West styling, I actually like a number of these shots. Liu is magnetic, and I like the photography. Still, I would like this 10x better if there weren’t a cowboy hat in every picture.

  2. I’m not a fan of some of the clothing featured in this editorial, but Liu is, of course, stunning and continues to be one of my favorite models.

    • i know a lot of asian girls… some prettier and some uglier. i don’t think this is about being the prettiest asian girl. i think it is about a certain look a girl has, her power to captivate the camera and ability to wear clothes.
