Music and Fashion – Lady Gaga enlisted leading fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin to shoot the cover for her upcoming single, “Applause”. This a continuation of a long collaboration between the creative duo and the singer. In the past, Inez & Vinoodh have shot Lady Gaga for V Magazine, Harper’s Bazaar and other fashion collaborations.
The cover debuted on WWD yesterday, and features the eccentric singer posing in a Gareth Pugh coat. The beauty is quite unusual–Gaga wears a face full of white powder and colorful makeup which evokes an image of a sort of fashionable clown. “Applause” is set to be released on August 19th.
