As always, the spring 2011 show from John Galliano proved to be one with drama and theatrics. The latest collection from the Gibraltarian-British designer was inspired by Maria Lani, an early twentieth century muse to artists who conned them into painting her portrait under the guise of being an actress. Each look represented a portrait in its own unique way complete with bold prints, vibrant colors and voluminous silhouettes.

  1. I love Galliano. So theatric, romantic and very dramatic. Of course you dont wear his pieces like that combined (its for the runway effect) but you can tell separately, they are amazing, especially the skirt and white peacoat Siri is wearing.

  3. Wow, I was just thinking Paris has been so minimal which I find quite boring and tidieous after more than one show. Doesn’t quite seem original when everyones doing it. But this is so cool, that Galliano doesn’t care about fitting in and tests the boundaries. That is a true fashion god!
