John Galliano’s fall 2011 collection featured all the staples of the absent designer’s well known aesthetic–sumptuous materials, dramatic silhouettes and high octane glamour. With speculation about whether show would be pulled in its entirety, the runway show was made into a presentation. Despite the massive public fallout, Galliano still appears to have many supporters in the fashion world and only time and sales will tell about his future standing in the industry.

  1. The funny thing is this collection looks better than his collection for Dior. In fact this FF 2011 collection looks better than his SS 2011 collection, but I’m not sure how many buyers will be requesting it. Such a shame.

    • Spring 2008 is one of my all time favorite collections, not just from John but from anyone, it was one that truly inspired me to be involved in fashion. So beautiful.

  3. I truly hope, that he comes back better and MORE EDUCATED man WORTHY of the talent he has. Looking at this beautiful collection, I feel sadness and pity.

Those shoes are glorious and this is probably his most wearable but glamorous collection.

  5. Behaviour aside, the man is a genius, this has to be the best collection I’ve seen in this whole season. This is what fashion is, I wish more designers would take heed.
