Three years after his controversial anti-Semitic remarks got him ousted from Dior, John Galliano gets another fashion job as the new creative director of Maison Martin Margiela. Galliano will head the brand’s women’s, men’s and couture lines. Earlier this year, the designer opened up about the stress of the job which led him to use alcohol, and what he called “professional suicide”. “Margiela is ready for a new charismatic creative soul,” said Rosso, president of OTB, which owns Maison Martin Margiela via WWD. His first collection for the brand will be in January during Paris Couture Week spring 2015.

I am very excited to hear this. I always loved John’s work. Although I don’t agree with his statements and the scandal was quite disgusting, I think it would be a shame to let his talent go to waste by not sharing it with the world.
