Ahead of his spring-summer 2017 show, it was announced that Jason Wu signed on as ambassador for the Woolmark Company. While often thought as a fabric strictly used for the cooler months, Wu made merino wool look lightweight with ladylike off-the-shoulder dresses featuring handkerchief hemlines. Elsewhere, the designer focused on florals. Blooming appliqués decorated tops and gowns in pretty pastels with neon-hued piping. Cocktail hour called for sheer and lace numbers in moody black, plum and navy. The Jamie bag was updated for the spring season with neon touches and python treatments.
