I think it’s more they are the only ‘successful’ models you recognise who have done the campaign. Doing guess dosn’t make you a star, but if your already established you have a chance of going Guess. It’s the other way round. Since the last campaign i’ve seen Ellen do photographs where she wouldn’t normally but still putting her Ellen stamp on. It’s really helped her.
Makes me wonder: is fashion the only field incapable of the slightest critical take on ‘the good old days’?
I’m glad this was done in B&W, because I think it would have been so much more mediocre looking otherwise. Guess eds tend to leave that sort of impression.
