A look from Gucci’s fall-winter 2016 collection

Gucci’s Alessandro Michele presented Renaissance style meets Studio 54 for the Italian label’s fall-winter 2016 show, marking the first day of Milan Fashion Week. Since taking over as Gucci’s creative director in 2015, Michele’s vintage inspired designs are red carpet and editorial standouts with their whimsical prints and bold color combinations.

With fall, it was no different—the introduction of puffy, leg of mutton sleeves echoed the Renaissance influence while relaxed pantsuits and fur coats created the seventies vibe. For accessories, models wore oversized glasses and embellished hats with tassels or mesh masks. A number of bags featured graffiti style tagging, made in collaboration with artist Trouble Andrew.

  1. This is again weird stuff for very young persons, rather for Kids.
I couldn’t wear that, even if I had the Money. Find it only ridiculous and creepy.

  2. Oh comme c’est moche. Alessandro, t’es foutu. Tes fringues sont dignes d’un carnaval d’enfants. Sans élégance, sans classe, sans sex-appeal. Où est passé le chic aristo de Frida?
