After last season’s bohemian inspired outing, Burberry Prorsum’s Christopher Bailey looked to more structured territory for the brand’s spring-summer 2016 collection. Bailey referenced a variety of styles, but it was the military inspired separates including capes and jackets which made the strongest impression the runway. A close second would be the Chantilly lace pieces–trenches, dresses and tops brought a romantic contrast to the outwear looks. A color palette of black, white, navy gold and cream contrasted with a few pastels make this a collection that can be worn no matter the season. The standout accessory for next spring is The Rucksack; a backpack decorated with leather trim and gold chain detail.
