Elegant Weaving – Fei Fei Sun dons the perfect suburban wardrobe for Lachlan Bailey’s recent work featured in Vogue China September. Styled by Clare Richardson, the Chinese beauty is sublime in elegant knitwear and jewel toned shades. Tousled tresses by hair stylist Rudi Lewis and red lips by makeup artist Hannah Murray bring a retro twist to the autumn looks.

mert and marcus red hook w magazine, greg kadel vogue spain for the bicycle shot, mario sorrenti suburban also w i think. im not criticizing the pictures, i am wondering at the inspiration, i have just seen them before and i think lachlan bailey is better than this usually.

I honestly think it is a bit reaching to say this shoot is “inspired” by others. Sure, the shoots have similar themes, but I have seen a lot of stories over the past few seasons with retro-inspired clothing in an outdoor, neighborhood type setting. It’s not an original concept.

I really dont think Lachlan Referenced these shoots or was inspired by them. His stories are not usually referenced ( apart from a recent French vogue with Anais ) He shot a similar image with the street pole for i-D magazine with Natasha V well before the Mert and Marcus story. And speaking of Mert and marcus, be rest assured their redhook story would have been stolen from somewhere else. I’ve never seen an original story from mert and marcus !

Whosever idea it was first, it’s great to see a shoot like this located somewhere other than Palm Springs, an old motel, or NYC.
