Although Dolce & Gabbana designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana have been longtime friends of Victoria Beckham, they were candid about their assessment of her brand at the “Glamour of Italian Fashion 1945-2014” event held in London earlier this week–reports Glamour UK. “She’s a friend. She make a good job but…for us, she don’t make the same way like a fashion designer,” they commented when asked about Beckham’s fashion line. Dolce then went on to compare her brand’s work with high street labels like Zara and H&M which they deemed as “professional” designers perhaps alluding to the more wearable aesthetic of Beckham’s clothing. Dolce & Gabbana also spoke on the difference between Italian and British fashion saying that the Brits have “more cool, more trendy” style.
