Before announcing Raf Simons’ successor, Dior’s fall 2016 haute couture show was presented at 30 Avenue Montaigne. Interim designers Lucie Meier and Serge Ruffieux were inspired by the ateliers and house codes including the Bar suit featuring an hourglass jacket and flared skirt. However, the original structured shapes were loosened for a more modern take. Focusing on a strict color palette of black and white, the collection embraces relaxed shapes with deconstructed details as well as gold accents and embroideries.
