Changing directions for the new season, Derek Lam goes from western chic to seventies glam for his spring 2011 collection. Many seventies staples such as trenches, jumpsuits and wide-leg pants made an appearance on the runway in addition to new twists on old classics found in adorned rompers and platform heels made for the modern woman. Another noticeable change for this season is a lack of neutral hues. With less tan and camel tones, room is made for crisp blue, white and even printed garments perfect for those languid summer days.
