Mugler’s New Artistic Director – Georgian-born designer David Koma has been announced as the new artistic director of Mugler, replacing former Lady Gaga stylist Nicola Formichetti. At 28 years old, Koma is well-known for his sleek silhouettes and bodycon dresses, a cool fit for the brand. “I am deeply honored to take up the role of Artistic Director at Mugler – a House for which I have the utmost admiration and respect,” Koma says. “For me, Mugler is the most extraordinary fashion house with an undeniably audacious heritage.” Look out for his first collection in June 2014 during resort 2015 season, and Koma will present his first runway show in September of next year.
