Actress Dakota Johnson channels retro style on the January 2016 cover of The Edit from Net-a-Porter. The ‘How to Be Single’ star poses in a ruffle adorned dress and beret designed by Gucci in the Laurie Bartley lensed image. Inside the magazine, Dakota shows off more retro inspired looks with an eclectic range of prints styled by Tracy Taylor.

For her interview, the actress talks about dealing with the spotlight thanks to her ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ role. “It almost feels like a free-for-all nowadays. There’s no more mystery, no more elegance [in Hollywood],” she says. “The Golden Globes, for example, used to be so special. It was a time when you got to see your favorite people, who were making your favorite movies, all interacting with each other; having some witty banter, being enticing and charming. You didn’t see actors unless they were on the red carpet; they weren’t publicly photographed all the time. Now anyone can take my picture, and I can take anyone’s picture, at any moment. I feel like something has been lost.”
