Constance Jablonski for Vogue Russia March 2011 by Alexi Lubomirski

For March’s Vogue Russia, cover girl Constance Jablonski may be on her way to jail as a defendant in a high profile case, but she still manages to deliver impeccable style thanks to fashion director Katerina Mukhina. Sporting seventies’ style from the likes of Dolce & Gabbana, Chloe and Tom Ford, Constance works the camera in Alexi Lubomirski’s courtroom drama.

It feels like American Vogue to me. Even though it’s not a tired concept whatsoever, it feels like it as soon as you turn on the tv. By far one of my least favorite editorials featuring Constance Jablonski.

Agreed. Had mixed feelings about this one. Sure, very glamorous cast, but I just couldn’t help but think of what’s wrong with American society to be so intrigued (and to some, impressed) by these courtroom appearances by the likes of talentless starlets like Lindsey and Paris. They don’t deserve the attention.

I love this but they should not have done those frames with the fake TV scanlines unless they were going to do something interesting with it

for example, they could have put the stills up on a standard tube tv monitor then rephotographed them from the tv and actually told a visual story with them. In any case the overhead shots looking down from the gallery to her sitting beside her ‘husband’ should have just been shown naturally.
