Michael Kors set his spring-summer 2020 collection at the Brooklyn Navy Yard during New York Fashion Work. The designer celebrates America with an optimistic runway show. Silhouettes of the season include padded sleeves as well as belted waists. Kors introduces a color palette of navy, khaki tan and splashes of red. Prints include playful polka dots, chic stripes, anchors and checks. From suiting separates to sequin dresses, the Kors woman has a look for ever occasion.
“In the ‘40s, women really rolled up their sleeves—they were strong, they were smart, and there was an optimism. I wanted something that brought that sense of freshness and opportunity. Looking at all the wonderful things that are the backbone of American sportswear, and reinventing it. My Spring 2020 collection is all about positivity and the power of fashion to make you feel your best self,” says Kors.
