Balenciaga Mixes Prints for Spring 2018

Joanna Elizabeth / Published October 1, 2017

Demna Gvasalia continued with his unique eclecticism for Balenciaga’s spring-summer 2018 runway show. The show opened with a mixture of plaid and stripes for a graphic look. Boxy menswear inspired shirts went over tweed skirts while checkered coats featured a scarf-like fabric at the neck.

As the runway continued, Gvasalia pieced coats over tops for a hanger effect. He also did not shy away from color with retro inspired florals and sweaters in electric hues. Gvasalia also unveiled the brand’s new logo on a number of tops. The spandex boot made a return to the catwalk with platform Crocs offering something new.
