Balenciaga Elevates for Fall 2019

Joanna Elizabeth / Published March 4, 2019

Balenciaga went back to basics for the Paris fashion house’s fall-winter 2019 runway show. Against a minimal backdrop, models wear elevated essentials with techno music and pulsating strobe lights. Demna Gvasalia begins with slouchy suiting styles in black and red. Outerwear remains tailored with belted waists as well as high collars. Color comes in the form of bold prints and shades of teal, hot pink, yellow and highlighter green. For footwear, ribbed ankle booties, pointed-toe heels and bow-adorned pumps take the spotlight. Bags include crossbody styles, printed tote bags and minimal shoppers.
