The spring 2011 collection from Chloe proved to be a minimalist outing with clean silhouettes, sheer materials and Grecian inspired gowns commanding the runway. With a subdued color palette of brown, white and black, designer Hannah MacGibbon incorporated leather tops, high collars and sheer outerwear for a new season of languid refinement.

  1. I like it. I’ve sen Céline and Stella McCartney. The first one was Ok but Stella was outrageous, in my opinion (she can do do much better). Chloe, on the other hand, has a great shape out of the minimal stuff and I think that from teh “minimalist zone”, it’s the best collection. It actually reminds me of some previous Stella McCartney’s collections. (of course there’s nothing we haven’t seen before, but it’s well done). Congrats, Hannah MacGibbon :3

    • I was thinking the exact same thing! Celine and S.M were extremely unflattering to the women’s body… so much so I almost couldn’t believe it was representing fashion for 2011. Chloe hit the nail on the head for lines/fit/appeal. These are items I could see being classics; things that would be just as gorgeous in 10 years time…
